It is something that founder, Mike Duffield loves to do.

Whether he is dealing with the potential fire risks at a landfill site or designing a state-of-the-art security system in a hospital operating theatre, he is always thinking three steps ahead.

What-if scenarios are the concern of all clients. What if someone breaks into my home, what if there is an emergency, but it is Mike’s job to consider all eventualities including the ones that never even crossed your mind. That way he designs and installs the most appropriate solution to keep you, your family and your business safe for years to come.

Having spent over 11 years as a CCTV engineer, Mike honed his craft working with a wide range of clients including some high net-worth celebrities who didn’t just need a panic alarm but an entire safe room building in their home.

The more he was challenged with ever more complicated CCTV, security, and alarm systems, the more he enjoyed it. Always looking for that next step, Mike founded MDI Solutions in 2021 and now has a competent team of engineers helping him service residential, business, and industrial clients across Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and beyond.

The skilled and experienced team of electricians are qualified to design, install, sign off and maintain fire, and security systems as well as install CCTV systems to the specifications required by insurance companies and risk assessments.

As a dedicated family man, Mike is committed to doing all he can to keep families safe and secure. Whatever the business is dealing with, whether it is installing a fire alarm or security cameras, he is always thinking of the people who live in the home or rely on the business.

This compassion is also evident in the company’s regular charity support. Whether donating toys to children at Christmas or raising funds for cancer research, Mike and the team at MDI Solutions are always keen to give back to their local community.

Built for basketball but a keen golfer, when Mike is not being challenged in the workplace, he loves nothing more than trying to get a small round ball into a slightly larger round hole!
